On mange quoi aujourd'hui chez Maryline?

Coq au vin


4 persons



2 or 3 chicken drumsticks per person

2 shallots

2 garlic gloves

50cl of red wine like a Côte du Rhône or a Bourgogne

2 carrots

1 handful of button mushrooms

bouquet garni

2 soup spoons of flour

olive oil, salt and pepper


  1. Slice the shallots and crush the garlic
  2. Peel the carrots and thinly chop them
  3. In a large pan with a bit of olive oil, gently fry the shallots and the garlic. Put aside.
  4. In more olive oil, brown the chicken.
  5. Add the flour and mix well
  6. Pour the wine and add the shallots, garlic, mushrooms, carrots and bouquet garni. Season
  7. Simmer slowly for a couple of hours.


Serve with boiled rice, mash or boiled potatoes
