On mange quoi aujourd'hui chez Maryline?

Chicken drumsticks in a spicy Basque sauce


For 4 persons



2-3 chicken drumsticks per person

2 red peppers

1 green pepper

1 onion

1 garlic clove

1 tin of tomatoes

crushed red chilli

1 small glass of dry white wine

salt, pepper, bay leaves, olive oil


  1. Wash the peppers and slice them lenghtwise
  2. Slice thinly the onion and crush the garlic clove
  3. In a pan, gently fry them in olive oil
  4. Add the peppers and cook for a few minutes
  5. Then, add the tin of tomatoes and stir
  6. In a casserole dish, brown the chicken drumsticks in olive oil
  7. Add the sauce and pour in the white wine, salt and pepper, 2 bay leaves as well as a teaspoon of crushed red chilli- you can add another one if you are really keen on very hot dishes!
  8. Leave the dish to cook on medium heat for 1 hour and a half



Serve with boiled rice


It's ready!
