On mange quoi aujourd'hui chez Maryline?

Chicken Chasseur

for 4 persons





1 kg of chicken wings and breast

1/2 small can of chopped tomatoes

1 big onion

2 gloves of garlic

2 shallots

1 chicken or vegetable stock cube

1 handful of button mushrooms

4 bacon rashers

10 dl of whine wine or wine vinegar



  1. Fry the chicken in a grill pan (no need this way to add oil). Drain the fat and reserve.
  2. Pour half the can of chopped tomates in a mixer and mix until becoming a smooth jus.
  3. Slice thinly the onion and shallots and crush the garlic.
  4. Gently fry the onion, shallots and garlic. (I have done it in the grill pan, to use the fat of the chicken instead of oil).
  5. Dice and brown the bacon.
  6. Boil 500ml of water and add the chicken or veg stock cube. Mix well.
  7. In a casserole dish, pour out the tomato jus and the stock, add the onion, garlic, shallots, button mushrooms, the wine or vinegar, the diced bacon and finally the chicken pieces. Mix well. Pepper. (I do not add salt as the stock and bacon can already be quite salty).
  8. Simmer for an hour on slow heat.
