Quick French Apple Tart

1 ready-made shortcrust pastry

6 Golden apples

sugar, water

apricot jam


  1. Peel the apples and take out the pips
  2. For the compote: in a small saucepan, put 3 apples cut in quarters with a drop of water and sprinkle them with sugar
  3. Simmer for 10 mn until the apples become a puree
  4. Then, mix the preparation with the food processor until firm. Or simply buy an apple compote ready to use!
  5. Roll out the pastry onto a tart dish and prick it with a fork
  6. Spread the compote evenly over the pastry
  7. Slice the 3 remaining apples lenghtwise and place them around  the dish until fully covered
  8. Preheat the oven at 180° and cook for around 35mn
  9. Once cooked, spoon the apricot jam over the slices of apples et voilà!
